Our roots in the travel industry start in 1983 when we opened our first travel agency in Prestbury, Cheshire. This was a time when package holidays were the mainstay of the industry but our ethos was always to provide tailored holidays that matched our client's wishes exactly. Because of this philosophy we now have 5 travel agencies in Cheshire, each arranging holidays worldwide and maintaining this strong belief.

Following requests from local clients for villa holidays to Barbados and Mustique we discovered that no tour operator appeared to offer this service. Having extensive experience of the Caribbean we decided to fill this gap ourselves and produced our first Caribbean villa brochure in 1988. In 2004 we extended our Caribbean Portfolio to include 80 of the finest hotels and Private Island resorts throughout the Caribbean.

Again, due to our clients request, we launched our Mauritius Portfolio in 2007 to compliment our existing collection of villas and hotels throughout the Caribbean. We have now expanded this to the Indian Ocean Region, which now includes Maldives.

A Family Concern

The Prestbury Travel Group is very much a family business with Stella and Peter Bosworth co-founders and active directors. Their son James is also a director and has been with the company over 12 years and is also heavily involved in the day to day running, whilst their daughter is the latest family member to join 4 years ago as marketing manager.

Although not directly related, many members of staff, of which there are over 40, have been with the company over 10 years, with the longest member of staff having been with us for over 22 years, and so experience is very much a key to the Prestbury Travel Group's success.
